Law numb. 4624/2019 on the protection of personal data was officially published by the Government. The new privacy policy is strict and carries heavy penalties for offenders. The fine can reach several thousand euros, while in some cases sanctions of more than 1,000,000 euros are envisaged. The same rules for the protection of citizens ‘and consumers’ data will apply to all companies operating in Greece and the EU, wherever their headquarters are located.
