The new framework of the law concerns red loans which were in arrears until 31-12-2018. The basic conditions for joining the new regulation are: 1) the value of the residence not to exceed the amount of 250,000 euros, and 2) the amount of the remaining loan to be up to 130,000 euros. The new provisions also provide for a «DEBT REDUCTION» of the loan. It is also planned to subsidise the monthly instalment, as it will be formed after the «DEBT REDUCTION». The amount of the subsidy will be judged by the total financial and property data of the borrower, which will be reviewed every three years.

The borrowers’ income limits were set at 12,500 euros, for the unmarried, at 21,000 euros for the couple, an amount that is increased by 5,000 euros for each child.Borrowers who will be rejected from the new application because they do not meet the integration criteria, have the opportunity to appeal to the court.
