CIVIL LAW – COMMERCIAL FRAUD CASES

Our firm has extensive experience of acting for clients in claims involving professional bodies including solicitors, barristers, healthcare practitioners, surveyors, valuers and accountants who are alleged to have caused loss through negligence and other breaches of duty.

Civil, or commercial, fraud is the term used to describe civil litigation which involves allegations of dishonesty or deceit by one or more of the parties usually in business transactions.

Examples of civil or commercial fraud are where one party alleges that the other deliberately misrepresented facts to induce it to enter into an agreement or where one party is alleged to have forged or fabricated documents to gain some financial advantage.

High standards of proof are required and there is no substitute for experience and proven expertise when a party is either making allegations of deceit or is on the receiving end of them. We have wide experience over many years of advising and acting in multi-million-euros commercial fraud cases.
